Description

A fun and interactive Walking Taco Bar for Halloween celebrations, allowing guests to customize their taco bags with a variety of ingredients and toppings.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbs. homemade taco seasoning or store-bought taco seasoning
  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (4.5 ounces) chopped green chiles
  • Your favorite taco toppings such as shredded cheese, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, and jalapenos
  • Snack size bags of chips like nacho chips or corn chips


Instructions

  1. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add lean ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, and taco seasoning. Cook until beef is browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce and chopped green chiles, bringing to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for approximately 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Transfer to a slow cooker set on warm or low to maintain temperature for serving.
  6. Prepare taco toppings in individual bowls.
  7. Arrange bags of chips on the table for easy access.
  8. To build your Walking Taco, crush a bag of chips, open it, add taco beef mixture, and top with favorite toppings.
