Ingredients
- 2 cups of sliced pineapples (or your choice of fruit)
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup of milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and stir in the brown sugar until dissolved.
- Arrange the fruit slices at the bottom of a greased cake pan and pour the butter mixture over them.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract, then combine with the dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter over the arranged fruit in the pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
