Description

A quick and delicious recipe for creamy ground beef stroganoff that feels like a warm hug, perfect for a hearty meal without much effort.


Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion (diced)
  • 1 lb mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper (adjust to taste)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your heavy, deep pan over medium-high heat with the olive oil.
  2. Add the ground beef and stir to break it down into small pieces.
  3. Toss in the diced onions and minced garlic, sauté until translucent and golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for another 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle in the flour and stir until fully incorporated.
  6. Pour in beef broth, heavy whipping cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  7. Turn the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and fold in the sour cream, stirring to combine. Adjust seasonings if needed.
