Description

A delightful balance of sweet potatoes and tart cranberries in a creamy, cheesy gratin, perfect for autumn gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 large sweet potatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Gather all ingredients together.
  3. In a greased baking dish, layer sweet potato slices, cranberries, and Gruyère cheese, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper.
  4. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
  5. Pour heavy cream over the top layer.
  6. Melt butter and mix with breadcrumbs, then sprinkle over the top.
  7. Bake for about 45 minutes until golden brown and tender.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
