Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil until combined.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Once done, shred the chicken using two forks and mix well with the sauce.
- Serve hot over rice, on a sandwich, or with your favorite sides.
Notes
This recipe freezes well for future meals. Feel free to substitute chicken thighs or jackfruit for a vegetarian option.
