Description

A festive and fun dish that brings a spooky twist to your Halloween celebrations with carved skull-shaped potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds of red mini creamer potatoes
  • 4 cups of water
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • Parsley flakes (fresh or dried)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 385°F (196°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Wash the mini potatoes and set them aside.
  4. Mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with cold water in a bowl.
  5. Carefully carve skull faces into each potato using a paring knife.
  6. Place the carved potatoes in the lemon water to prevent browning.
  7. In another bowl, combine olive oil, remaining lemon juice, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
  8. Drain the potatoes and toss them in the seasoning mixture until fully coated.
  9. Arrange the seasoned potatoes on the baking sheet with carved faces up.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden and tender.
  11. Garnish with toppings and additional salt if desired.
