Description

A comforting dish of tender chicken breasts cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients and set aside the chicken breasts.
  2. Melt the butter in a small bowl.
  3. Add garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning to the melted butter; stir to combine.
  4. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the garlic butter mixture over them.
  5. Squeeze lemon juice over the chicken.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
  7. Remove chicken, shred or serve whole, and spoon remaining garlic butter sauce over it.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days. Store in an airtight container.
