A comforting dish of tender chicken breasts cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 6 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients and set aside the chicken breasts.
- Melt the butter in a small bowl.
- Add garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning to the melted butter; stir to combine.
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the garlic butter mixture over them.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
- Remove chicken, shred or serve whole, and spoon remaining garlic butter sauce over it.
- Garnish with parsley and serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
Notes
Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days. Store in an airtight container.
