Description

A delicious and effortless slow cooker beef stroganoff that’s creamy, hearty, and perfect for a cozy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pot roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving


Instructions

  1. Place the pot roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Cook on low for 7-8 hours until the meat is tender.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, add the sliced mushrooms.
  5. Once the meat is tender, shred it using two forks.
  6. Stir in the sour cream until fully combined.
  7. Serve over egg noodles or rice.

Notes

Make sure to season well and avoid opening the slow cooker too often to keep the heat in.
