Description

A rich and creamy beef stroganoff made effortlessly in a slow cooker, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef (cut into strips)
  • 8 oz mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or mashed potatoes for serving

Instructions

  1. In the slow cooker, combine beef, mushrooms, onion, garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Stir to combine and cover.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  4. If a thicker sauce is desired, mix flour with a little water to create a slurry and stir it into the beef mixture.
  5. Stir in sour cream just before serving.
  6. Serve over cooked egg noodles or mashed potatoes.

Notes

For variations, consider using chicken or pork instead of beef. Greek yogurt can substitute sour cream for a lighter option.
