Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs beef (cut into strips)
- 8 oz mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or mashed potatoes for serving
Instructions
- In the slow cooker, combine beef, mushrooms, onion, garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Stir to combine and cover.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
- If a thicker sauce is desired, mix flour with a little water to create a slurry and stir it into the beef mixture.
- Stir in sour cream just before serving.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
Notes
For variations, consider using chicken or pork instead of beef. Greek yogurt can substitute sour cream for a lighter option.
