Description
A creamy and hearty Beef Stroganoff made effortlessly in your slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the beef chuck roast into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onions and garlic until golden brown.
- Brown the beef in batches in the same skillet until seared on all sides.
- Transfer the browned beef, sautéed onions, mushrooms, garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
- Stir in sour cream just before serving and let warm through.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice.
