Description

A whimsical and eye-catching appetizer perfect for Halloween or themed parties, combining mozzarella, kalamata olives, and pepperoni for a flavorful delight.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup mozzarella balls
  • 1 red bell pepper for decoration
  • 2 tablespoons kalamata olives
  • 4 ounces pepperoni stick


Instructions

  1. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut small indents in the mozzarella balls and set aside.
  2. Finely chop the kalamata olives and place them into the indents to represent the eyeballs.
  3. Cut the pepperoni stick into small pieces, about 3/4 inch long, and slice some into thin strips (1/4 to 1/2 inch thick).
  4. Slice the red bell pepper into small wedge-shaped pieces for decoration.
  5. Assemble the skewer by threading on a piece of red bell pepper, then a chunk of pepperoni, followed by a mozzarella ball with the olive eye, a thicker slice of pepperoni, and several thin slices of pepperoni for the base. Add another mozzarella ball to keep the skewer stable.
  6. Refrigerate the assembled skewers before serving them on a Halloween-themed platter.
