A creamy and flavorful ranch chicken dish made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for busy days.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can, 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Optional: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Add cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the crockpot and stir well.
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot and coat them with the sauce mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
- Stir in sour cream and sprinkle with shredded cheese and parsley if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, searing the chicken is recommended. Adjust cooking time if using frozen chicken breasts.
