Description

A rich and creamy beef stroganoff that is quick and easy to prepare, perfect for satisfying cravings without a lot of fuss.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onions, garlic, and mushrooms, and sauté until soft.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir.
  5. Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
  6. Bring to a simmer, then stir in sour cream and add the cooked beef back to the skillet.
  7. Season with salt and pepper. Taste and adjust as needed.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

Notes

For alternatives, chicken or mushrooms can be used instead of beef, and Greek yogurt can replace sour cream. This dish is freezer-friendly if the sour cream is added after reheating.
