Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds skinless, boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized chunks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- ½ teaspoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 6 minced garlic cloves
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon butter (for finishing)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with salt, garlic powder, paprika, curry powder, and Greek yogurt for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and brown for 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
- Add butter to the skillet, sauté garlic and onion until translucent (3-4 minutes).
- Pour in tomato sauce, sugar, and salt, simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, cayenne, garam masala, and curry powder. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Add finishing butter, melt and incorporate into sauce.
- Return chicken to the skillet, heat through, and serve with naan or rice.
