Description

A fun and tasty twist on traditional pizza, these pizzadillas combine the crispy goodness of a quesadilla with classic pizza flavors, perfect for lunch, dinner, or snack time.


Ingredients

  • 8 medium flour tortillas
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced green bell peppers (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano


Instructions

  1. Lay 4 tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on each tortilla.
  2. Sprinkle each with 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Top with pepperoni slices, black olives, and green bell peppers as desired. Sprinkle with dried oregano.
  3. Place another tortilla on top of each prepared base to form four pizzadillas.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook each pizzadilla for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden and cheese is melted.
  5. Transfer to a cutting board, let cool slightly, then cut into wedges and serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping. Pair with a side salad or fresh veggies for a complete meal.
