A fun and tasty twist on traditional pizza, these pizzadillas combine the crispy goodness of a quesadilla with classic pizza flavors, perfect for lunch, dinner, or snack time.
Ingredients
- 8 medium flour tortillas
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1/4 cup sliced green bell peppers (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Lay 4 tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on each tortilla.
- Sprinkle each with 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Top with pepperoni slices, black olives, and green bell peppers as desired. Sprinkle with dried oregano.
- Place another tortilla on top of each prepared base to form four pizzadillas.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook each pizzadilla for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden and cheese is melted.
- Transfer to a cutting board, let cool slightly, then cut into wedges and serve warm.
Notes
Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping. Pair with a side salad or fresh veggies for a complete meal.
