Description

A warm and hearty chicken pot pie filled with tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a flaky crust, perfect for cozy family meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, chopped
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 flaky pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion, carrots, and celery, cooking until they are tender.
  4. Stir in flour and allow it to cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  5. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk, stirring until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy.
  6. Add the cooked chicken and green peas, stirring well to combine all ingredients.
  7. Pour the filling into a pie crust placed in a pie dish.
  8. Cover with another pie crust, seal the edges, and cut slits on top to allow steam to escape.
  9. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Use leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken for a quicker meal. Customize vegetables based on your preference.
