Description

A quick and easy one-pan meal featuring shrimp, orzo pasta, and rich Parmesan cheese, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the orzo and broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is al dente.
  4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet. Mix everything gently and heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, if using, and serve.

Notes

Serve hot with a side salad or crusty bread. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
