  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini until tender but firm. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Pat the steak dry and season with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. Melt the butter in the same skillet, add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice, mixing well.
  4. Return the cooked tortellini and steak to the skillet, tossing everything in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water to reach desired sauce consistency, and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Plate the dish hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and herbs. Serve immediately.
