Ingredients
- 85 g unsalted butter
- 6 cups regular marshmallows
- 4 cups Rice Bubbles (or Krispies)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Red food coloring
Instructions
- Prepare a Bain-Marie: Set up by boiling 1/2 cup of water in a small pot and placing a large heatproof bowl over it.
- Melt the Butter and Marshmallows: Add the unsalted butter and regular marshmallows to the bowl, whisking until smooth, about 2-4 minutes.
- Add Flavor and Color: Remove from heat and stir in salt and red food coloring until evenly mixed.
- Mix with Rice Bubbles: In a separate bowl, pour in Rice Bubbles and then add the warm marshmallow mixture, mixing thoroughly.
- Shape into Brains: Lightly oil your hands and shape the mixture into oval brains, creating indentations and vein designs with a toothpick dipped in food coloring.
- Store Your Treats: Keep the treats in an airtight container for up to a week.
