Description

A fun and spooky dessert treat perfect for Halloween, combining marshmallows and Rice Bubbles into brain-shaped delights.


Ingredients

  • 85 g unsalted butter
  • 6 cups regular marshmallows
  • 4 cups Rice Bubbles (Krispies)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Red food coloring


Instructions

  1. Prepare a Bain-Marie: Place 1/2 cup of water into a small pot and bring it to a boil. Set a large heatproof bowl over the pot.
  2. Combine Butter and Marshmallows: Add the butter and marshmallows to the bowl and stir continuously with a whisk until smooth, about 2 to 4 minutes.
  3. Add Color and Salt: Remove the bowl carefully, add salt and red food coloring, and whisk until well combined.
  4. Coat the Rice Bubbles: Pour the marshmallow mixture over the Rice Bubbles in a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
  5. Shape the Brains: Lightly oil your hands, shape portions into ovals resembling brains, and create details with a butter knife and toothpick.
