A fun and spooky dessert treat perfect for Halloween, combining marshmallows and Rice Bubbles into brain-shaped delights.
Ingredients
- 85 g unsalted butter
- 6 cups regular marshmallows
- 4 cups Rice Bubbles (Krispies)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Red food coloring
Instructions
- Prepare a Bain-Marie: Place 1/2 cup of water into a small pot and bring it to a boil. Set a large heatproof bowl over the pot.
- Combine Butter and Marshmallows: Add the butter and marshmallows to the bowl and stir continuously with a whisk until smooth, about 2 to 4 minutes.
- Add Color and Salt: Remove the bowl carefully, add salt and red food coloring, and whisk until well combined.
- Coat the Rice Bubbles: Pour the marshmallow mixture over the Rice Bubbles in a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Shape the Brains: Lightly oil your hands, shape portions into ovals resembling brains, and create details with a butter knife and toothpick.
