Description
A delightful dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a creamy, flavorful sauce, perfect for impressing guests.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up browned bits.
- Reduce heat to medium. Stir in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over chicken and simmer for another 8-10 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the sauce is creamy.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving. Enjoy hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in herbs or spices for a few hours before cooking. Ensure the skillet is hot enough before adding the chicken for a nice golden crust.
