A quick and easy Beef Stroganoff recipe that’s rich, savory, and perfect for a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the beef strips and cook until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the onions and mushrooms, cooking until soft.
  4. Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing to a simmer.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, reduce heat and allow flavors to meld.
  7. Stir in the sour cream and heat through gently, without boiling.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice and enjoy!

For a lighter option, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream. You can also try using ground beef or chicken instead of sirloin.
