A fun twist on the classic salad combining crispy chicken with sweet and spicy honey-hot sauce over fresh vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion


Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and black pepper together.
  3. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken pieces for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden and cooked through.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine honey and hot sauce. Warm over low heat, stirring until well blended.
  6. Toss the cooked chicken in the honey-hot sauce mixture until evenly coated.
  7. Arrange salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion in bowls. Top with the honey hot chicken. Serve immediately.
