Description

A quick and easy one-bowl meal featuring shrimp cooked in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, served over rice or quinoa with fresh broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger to create the sauce.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp to the pan and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. In another pot, steam the broccoli until tender.
  6. Serve the shrimp over cooked rice or quinoa, topped with steamed broccoli and green onions.

Notes

To save time, consider using pre-cooked shrimp. Adjust sweetness and saltiness of the sauce by adding more honey or soy sauce. Feel free to switch out vegetables according to preference.
