Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add them to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the flour and let it cook for an additional minute. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth and milk, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve the chicken with the gravy poured over top, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
