Delicious swirl cookies combining rich chocolate and sweet vanilla dough, easy to make and impressive.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- Optional toppings: sprinkles or sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Whip up the butter and sugars in a mixing bowl until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Incorporate the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture.
- Divide the dough in half; mix cocoa into one half.
- Roll each dough into logs about 1 inch thick.
- Twist the two logs together in a spiraling motion.
- Slice the log into pieces about 1/2 inch thick and arrange on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
