Description

A wholesome and customizable homemade version of Hamburger Helper that combines beef, pasta, and creamy cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the pasta, diced tomatoes, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through.
  4. Stir in the milk and shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Serve hot.

Notes

For a healthier option, use lean ground beef or swap for turkey or chicken. Add vegetables for extra nutrition.
