Description
A wholesome and customizable homemade version of Hamburger Helper that combines beef, pasta, and creamy cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 cups pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the pasta, diced tomatoes, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through.
- Stir in the milk and shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot.
Notes
For a healthier option, use lean ground beef or swap for turkey or chicken. Add vegetables for extra nutrition.
