A comforting and creamy beef stroganoff made from scratch, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cups pasta (egg noodles or similar)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 3-5 minutes until onions are translucent.
- Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce, bringing the mixture to a boil.
- Add pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually 8-10 minutes, until tender.
- Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream, simmering until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Use coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
