Description

A comforting and creamy beef stroganoff made from scratch, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cups pasta (egg noodles or similar)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 3-5 minutes until onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce, bringing the mixture to a boil.
  4. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually 8-10 minutes, until tender.
  5. Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream, simmering until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Use coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
