A quick and comforting homemade ground beef stroganoff that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or rice for serving
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Stir in the mushrooms and cook until they’re tender.
- Sprinkle flour over the meat mixture, stirring to combine.
- Slowly pour in the beef broth while stirring and bring to a simmer.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until mixed and taste.
- Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until well blended.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for 3-4 days. Great for freezing.
