A quick and creamy Ground Beef Stroganoff that’s easy to make and offers comfort food vibes in just one skillet.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir well.
- Gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce heat and mix in sour cream until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions, drain, and add to the beef mixture. Toss it all together.
- Stir to combine, and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For alternatives, ground beef can be substituted with turkey or lentils. Feel free to switch out the egg noodles for rice or mashed potatoes.
