Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil or butter, for sautéing
Instructions
- Slice the beef into manageable bite-sized pieces.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add the diced onions and cook until soft.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until golden.
- Toss in the beef pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in the flour and cook for about a minute to thicken.
- Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard, stirring to combine. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and gently mix in the sour cream until creamy.
- Serve hot over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
