Description

Delicious and healthy muffins that are quick and easy to make, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine mashed bananas, honey (or maple syrup), and applesauce.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.
