A comforting and hearty ham casserole perfect for using up leftover ham. A delightful combination of rice, vegetables, and creamy cheese makes it a family favorite.
Ingredients
- 2 cups diced ham
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded chicken
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the diced ham, cooked rice, broccoli, shredded chicken, and half of the cheddar cheese.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the soup mixture over the ham and rice mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, use quality leftover ham and let the casserole cool slightly before cutting into it to improve consistency.
