Description

Spooky yet delicious Halloween Skewers that impress guests while being simple to make.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces mozzarella Ciligiene
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • ¼ cup basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain the mozzarella Ciligiene and prepare silicone skull molds with a light coat of oil.
  3. Place one mozzarella ball in each skull cavity and bake for about 6 to 8 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven and gently press each cheese ball to shape. Use a paper towel to absorb excess liquid.
  5. Cool in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes to set.
  6. Press from the outside of the mold to pop out the skull-shaped mozzarella.
  7. Thread the mozzarella skulls onto a bamboo skewer, adding a basil leaf and cherry tomato to each.
  8. Whisk together olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then drizzle on the skewers or serve on the side.

Notes

Consider adding spices or other colorful vegetables for variety.
