Description
Spooky yet delicious Halloween Skewers that impress guests while being simple to make.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces mozzarella Ciligiene
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- ¼ cup basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Drain the mozzarella Ciligiene and prepare silicone skull molds with a light coat of oil.
- Place one mozzarella ball in each skull cavity and bake for about 6 to 8 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and gently press each cheese ball to shape. Use a paper towel to absorb excess liquid.
- Cool in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes to set.
- Press from the outside of the mold to pop out the skull-shaped mozzarella.
- Thread the mozzarella skulls onto a bamboo skewer, adding a basil leaf and cherry tomato to each.
- Whisk together olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then drizzle on the skewers or serve on the side.
Notes
Consider adding spices or other colorful vegetables for variety.
