Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. If desired, divide the dough and mix in food coloring for a festive touch.
  7. Spoon the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring enough space between each.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges.
