Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- If desired, divide the dough and mix in food coloring for a festive touch.
- Spoon the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring enough space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
