Description

Festive and delicious cookies for Halloween gatherings, topped with colorful candy corn.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup candy corn (for decorating)
  • Optional: food coloring for decoration


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Once cooled, decorate each cookie with colorful candy corn to create a cauldron look.
