Description

A comforting dish that features tender beef and pasta in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz egg noodles (or pasta of choice)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by gathering everything you need.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add onions and garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, and brown while breaking it into smaller pieces.
  4. Add mushrooms, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce, cooking until mushrooms are softened.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stir well, and gradually add beef broth until smooth and bubbling.
  6. Lower heat, stir in sour cream, and simmer for about five minutes.
  7. Toss in cooked egg noodles, mix gently, and serve garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

Use lean ground beef for less grease. Add a splash of white wine for enhanced flavor while sautéing.
