A quick and easy recipe for Ground Beef Stroganoff that delivers comforting flavors in no time.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (85/15 recommended)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (optional)
- 12 oz egg noodles, cooked
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain the excess fat.
- Add the onion and mushrooms to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic for one minute.
- Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard, then bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes.
- If using, stir in the flour and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the sour cream, season with salt and pepper, and let simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked egg noodles and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
