A cheesy and hearty casserole that’s perfect for a lazy Sunday meal, combining ground beef, egg noodles, and a delicious blend of flavors in one dish.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups egg noodles, uncooked
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring everything to a simmer.
- In a large bowl, mix the uncooked egg noodles and sour cream until well combined.
- Pour the beef mixture into the bowl with the noodles and stir until evenly mixed.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can make this casserole ahead of time and reheat when ready to serve. Feel free to add more veggies as desired.
