Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup shallot (finely diced)
  • 10 ounces mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 cup demi-glace
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the ground beef until browned. Set aside.
  2. Drain excess grease from the skillet.
  3. Melt butter in the same pan over medium heat.
  4. Add shallots and sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  5. Incorporate mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add demi-glace and bring to a boil, then let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Pour in heavy cream, sour cream, and Dijon mustard. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and stir until combined.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
