Description

A warm, comforting dish that’s easy to prepare and perfect for a cozy night in.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 packet (0.87 oz) brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 12 oz wide egg noodles
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pot for the noodles with a pinch of salt.
  2. Cook ground beef and diced onion in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
  3. Whisk brown gravy mix with cold water and pour it over the beef. Stir well.
  4. Add cream of mushroom soup and sour cream to the skillet, combining until smooth.
  5. Let it simmer while cooking noodles according to package instructions.
  6. Drain noodles (do not rinse) and fold them into the beef mixture along with dried parsley.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley or dollops of sour cream.

Notes

Avoid rinsing the noodles after draining to maintain a good sauce bond.
