A warm, comforting dish that’s easy to prepare and perfect for a cozy night in.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 packet (0.87 oz) brown gravy mix
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- 12 oz wide egg noodles
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil water in a pot for the noodles with a pinch of salt.
- Cook ground beef and diced onion in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
- Whisk brown gravy mix with cold water and pour it over the beef. Stir well.
- Add cream of mushroom soup and sour cream to the skillet, combining until smooth.
- Let it simmer while cooking noodles according to package instructions.
- Drain noodles (do not rinse) and fold them into the beef mixture along with dried parsley.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley or dollops of sour cream.
Notes
Avoid rinsing the noodles after draining to maintain a good sauce bond.
