Description

A creamy and savory ground beef stroganoff that’s quick and easy to make, perfect for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 packet (0.87 oz) brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 12 oz wide egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Boil a pot of water for cooking the egg noodles while you handle the other stuff.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the lean ground beef with the diced onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Whisk together the brown gravy mix with one cup of cold water and pour it into the skillet. Stir to combine.
  4. Add in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream; mix until blended.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes while cooking the egg noodles according to the package instructions.
  6. Drain the noodles and stir them into the beef mixture along with the dried parsley.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, do not rinse the noodles. You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, or a plant-based option.
