A creamy and savory ground beef stroganoff that’s quick and easy to make, perfect for a cozy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 packet (0.87 oz) brown gravy mix
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 12 oz wide egg noodles
Instructions
- Boil a pot of water for cooking the egg noodles while you handle the other stuff.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the lean ground beef with the diced onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Whisk together the brown gravy mix with one cup of cold water and pour it into the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Add in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream; mix until blended.
- Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes while cooking the egg noodles according to the package instructions.
- Drain the noodles and stir them into the beef mixture along with the dried parsley.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, do not rinse the noodles. You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, or a plant-based option.
