Description

A creamy and comforting Ground Beef Stroganoff that is quick and easy to make, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon flour (optional)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside. Toss with butter.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and beef broth. If desired, sprinkle flour and stir. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Lower heat and stir in sour cream, cooking for an additional 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss until well-coated. Heat through for 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider using turkey or chicken instead of beef. Greek yogurt can substitute sour cream.
