Description
A creamy and comforting Ground Beef Stroganoff that is quick and easy to make, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon flour (optional)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside. Toss with butter.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and beef broth. If desired, sprinkle flour and stir. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Lower heat and stir in sour cream, cooking for an additional 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss until well-coated. Heat through for 2 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider using turkey or chicken instead of beef. Greek yogurt can substitute sour cream.
