Description
A creamy and comforting ground beef stroganoff that’s easy to prepare and perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic and sauté until soft.
- Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until tender.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Slowly add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring continuously until thickened.
- Reduce heat and stir in sour cream.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the beef mixture over egg noodles.
Notes
Alternatively, you can use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a healthier option. This dish is also customizable with different proteins or pasta types.
