Description

A creamy and comforting ground beef stroganoff that’s easy to prepare and perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion and garlic and sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until tender.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  6. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
  7. Slowly add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring continuously until thickened.
  8. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Serve the beef mixture over egg noodles.

Notes

Alternatively, you can use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a healthier option. This dish is also customizable with different proteins or pasta types.
