Description

Delicious and visually striking burgers perfect for Halloween gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 200 ml warm water (not hotter than 40°C)
  • 3 tablespoons of milk
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 485 g of flour (Type 550)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
  • 80 g of soft butter
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1.2 kg of beef chuck (or ready-made ground beef)
  • 15 g of salt
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Oil (for frying)
  • 8 slices of sandwich cheese
  • 16 green olives
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 1 jar of sandwich pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Lollo Rosso lettuce
  • Ruffled fries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brioche Buns: Mix warm water, milk, sugar, and dry yeast in a bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. In another bowl, combine flour and salt, make a well in the center, and add yeast mixture, eggs, and soft butter. Knead until smooth and elastic. Let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.
  2. Shape the Burgers: Punch down risen dough, divide into equal parts, and shape into round buns. Let them rise for 30 minutes on a lined baking tray.
  3. Cook the Beef Patties: Season the beef with salt and pepper, shape into patties matching bun size. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Assemble the Burgers: After patties are cooked, place cheese on top for melting. Slice open buns, layer with lettuce, beef patty with cheese, red bell peppers, olives, pickles, and ketchup.
  5. Serve with Ruffled Fries: Enjoy your Halloween burgers with a side of ruffled fries.

Notes

Make the buns a day in advance and freeze for convenience. Experiment with different toppings to customize your burgers.
