- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 ½ tablespoons sugar
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 2 eggs
- 485 g flour (preferably type 550)
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 80 g soft butter
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- 1.2 kg shoulder beef (or pre-ground beef)
- 15 g salt
- Pepper (to taste)
- Oil (for frying)
- 8 slices sandwich cheese
- 16 green olives
- 2 red bell peppers
- 1 jar sandwich pickles
- Ketchup
- Lollo Rosso lettuce
- Riffle fries
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
- Add eggs, flour, salt, and soft butter. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Allow it to rise in a warm area for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Divide the dough into about 8 equal portions and shape them into buns. Place on a lined baking sheet, sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired, and allow to rise again for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake the buns for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.
- Mix the shoulder beef with salt and pepper in a bowl, forming it into burger patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet or grill over medium-high heat, cooking the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until done to your liking.
- Slice the baked buns in half. Layer Lollo Rosso lettuce, a beef patty, sandwich cheese, olives, bell pepper slices, sandwich pickles, and ketchup. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve alongside rifled fries.
