Description

Celebrate Halloween with these eerily beautiful burgers that combine vibrant colors and bold flavors, perfect for your festive gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 200 ml warm water (not hotter than 40 degrees Celsius)
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 ½ tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 485 g flour (preferably type 550)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 80 g soft butter
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1.2 kg shoulder beef (or pre-ground beef)
  • 15 g salt
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Oil (for frying)
  • 8 slices sandwich cheese
  • 16 green olives
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 1 jar sandwich pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Lollo Rosso lettuce
  • Riffle fries

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add eggs, flour, salt, and soft butter. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Allow it to rise in a warm area for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
  3. Divide the dough into about 8 equal portions and shape them into buns. Place on a lined baking sheet, sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired, and allow to rise again for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake the buns for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.
  5. Mix the shoulder beef with salt and pepper in a bowl, forming it into burger patties.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet or grill over medium-high heat, cooking the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until done to your liking.
  7. Slice the baked buns in half. Layer Lollo Rosso lettuce, a beef patty, sandwich cheese, olives, bell pepper slices, sandwich pickles, and ketchup. Top with the other half of the bun.
  8. Serve alongside rifled fries.

Notes

Feel free to customize with other toppings, and engage kids in decorating the burgers!
