Description

Elevate your dining experience at home with this quick and easy steak marinade recipe that enhances the natural richness of the steak.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary or thyme
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon smoked paprika, ¼ teaspoon chili flakes, squeeze of lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, garlic, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, honey, rosemary, black pepper, and sea salt to create the marinade.
  2. Place your chosen steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over, ensuring even coverage.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  4. Remove the steak from the fridge and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Pat the steak dry, season lightly with sea salt, and cook on a hot grill or skillet for 3 to 5 minutes on each side for juicy medium-rare doneness.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain juices.

Notes

Marinate overnight for deeper flavor; use an instant-read thermometer to ensure perfect doneness.
