Description

A rich and creamy beef stroganoff that is easy to make and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into strips
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Get those onions and mushrooms chopped.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Season your beef strips with salt and pepper. Brown them in the skillet for about 3 to 4 minutes, then set aside.
  4. Toss in diced onions and mushrooms in the same skillet and sauté until caramelized for about 5 to 7 minutes. Add minced garlic during the last minute.
  5. Return the browned beef to the skillet. Pour in the beef broth and Dijon mustard, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream until combined.
  7. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet when browning the beef for optimal flavor.
