Description
A rich and creamy beef stroganoff that is easy to make and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into strips
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients: Get those onions and mushrooms chopped.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Season your beef strips with salt and pepper. Brown them in the skillet for about 3 to 4 minutes, then set aside.
- Toss in diced onions and mushrooms in the same skillet and sauté until caramelized for about 5 to 7 minutes. Add minced garlic during the last minute.
- Return the browned beef to the skillet. Pour in the beef broth and Dijon mustard, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream until combined.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet when browning the beef for optimal flavor.
