Delightful mousse domes that combine festive gingerbread flavors with a luscious coffee mousse, perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup brewed coffee
- 1 cup gingerbread cookies, crushed
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Chocolate glaze or shell for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, combine the brewed coffee, crushed gingerbread cookies, mascarpone cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the coffee and gingerbread mixture until fully incorporated.
- Spoon the mixture into dome molds, smoothing the tops with the back of a spoon.
- Freeze the filled dome molds for at least 240 minutes or until set.
- Once set, carefully remove the mousse domes from the molds.
- Drizzle or dip each dome in a chocolate glaze or shell for a polished finish.
- Serve chilled and enjoy your festive dessert!
Notes
For a richer flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate for the glaze. Customize spices and sugar according to your taste.
