Description

An easy and delicious one-skillet meal featuring juicy steak, creamy garlic sauce, and cheese-filled tortellini.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Sirloin or Ribeye Steak
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 12 oz Cheese-Filled Tortellini
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 0.25 cup Reserved Pasta Water
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Chopped Parsley (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini: Fill a pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a boil. Toss in the cheese-filled tortellini and cook according to the package directions for about 5-7 minutes. Drain, saving half a cup of pasta water.
  2. Sear the Steak: Season the steak with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove steak and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute. Pour in heavy cream and bring it to a simmer.
  4. Mix in the Cheese: Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Adjust with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Combine Everything: Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet. Toss to coat. Chop the rested steak into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet, stirring gently.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Avoid burning the garlic and remember to let the steak rest to keep it juicy.
